Oct 17, 2024 · Open Door Animal Sanctuary, founded in 1975, is the largest no-kill shelter in the greater St. Louis area and State of Missouri. We serve the community by taking in stray, abused, neglected and otherwise unwanted cats and dogs and placing them up for adoption.
How Much Does it Cost to Adopt? DOGS: $100 This fee includes spay/neuter services, vaccinations, microchipping, dewormer, initial flea/tick treatment, and heartworm testing.

If you are looking to adopt a dog or cat, we have the most animals to choose from in the area! Our adoption fee ($150 for puppies, dogs, and kittens and $75 for adult cats) includes spay/neuter, a microchip, the first two sets of shots and parasite preventative.
