The highlight on the opening day of the three-day Cambridgeshire meeting is the Group 3 Tattersalls Stakes, a seven-furlong race for two-year-old runners.
Day two of the Cambridgeshire is a step up from the opening day with five class one races, the highlight being the £125k Group 2 Joel Stakes contested over a mile, we also have the two-year-old race, the Rockfel Stakes which carries a purse of £100k.
The Cambridgeshire Handicap is the highlight on the third and final day, carrying a purse of £175k its a race which spans two counties! It starts in Cambridgeshire and ends in Suffolk! There are also a couple of valuable Group 1's on the final day with the Cheverley Park Stakes and the Middle Park Stakes which both carry a purse of £275k.
The Cambridgeshire Handicap is a flat handicap horse race in Great Britain open to horses aged three years or older. It is run on the Rowley Mile at Newmarket over a distance of 1 mile and 1 furlong (1,811 metres), and it is scheduled to take place each year in late September.
