    Formation and early years

    The history of Simple Plan started in the middle of the 90s, when drummer Chuck Comeau and singer Pierre Bouvier met in high school and formed a friendship thanks to their common obsession with music. With their friend Jean-Sébastien, they formed Reset. In 1998, Comeau left soon after to go to college.     In 1998, a new film by Sam Raimi called “A Simple Plan” was released and in a hurry to get a name for their new band (that was just about to play a show), the guys decided to drop the “A” and call themselves “Simple Plan”.
