Nina was the name of a young Chimaera.
During the 1990–1991 school year, Nina bit an unidentified dragonologist, causing her to seek medical treatment in the 'Dangerous' Dai Llewellyn Ward: Serious Bites at St Mungo's. According to her, Nina was rather temperamental and she had raised her ever since she first hatched from her egg.

Nina then chooses one (or more) of the five Neurons inside her brain based upon which of the senses is most appropriate to answer the question. Once the Neuron has been selected by Nina, the children (called the 'experimenters') then visit Nina, using fun experiments and games.
