During the 2019-2020 school year, Georgia’s public education workforce consisted of 119,111 teachers and 9,960 leaders, an increase of 2.6% and 3.4% respectively from the previous year. The percentage of Black leaders (36%) was larger than the overall percentage of Black teachers (26%).
