Based on our direct measurements of fruit juice, apple fruit pH varies from 2.8 to 4.5, and TA from 0.7 to 1.87mg/ml or 0.07-1.87% (Xu, Wang, & Brown, 2012). The values of any given variety are influenced by the season, by crop load and by cultural methods.
Apr 2, 2019 · Here, we assemble a high-quality genome (contig N50 of 6.99 Mb) of the apple anther-derived homozygous line HFTH1, including 22 telomere sequences, using a combination of PacBio single-molecule...
The apple genome sequence should make the apple breeding process considerably faster and more accurate. Because it tells us the location and sequence of every gene in the apple, it will enable the design of many more DNA markers for desirable traits.
Jun 5, 2017 · To produce a high-quality apple reference genome and methylome, we generated a de novo assembly of a 'Golden Delicious' doubled-haploid tree (GDDH13) composed of 280 assembled scaffolds and ...
Dec 7, 2022 · We present genome assemblies from four Malus domestica cultivars (the apple; Streptophyta; Magnoliopsida; Rosales; Rosaceae). The genome sequences are 643–653 megabases in span. The greater part of each assembly length (99.24–99.74%) is scaffolded into 17 chromosomal pseudomolecules.

Mar 11, 2021 · They found that an apple has 57,386 genes, more than twice the number in the human genome due to the duplicated origin of the apple’s genome which created more ‘junk’ DNA. The sequencing of its genome was a fundamental step in understanding the entire biological life of the apple.
