1 to 7, according to criteria laid down by the LTA Competitions Team, as follows: Grades 1 and 2: national level; Grade 3: regional level; Grade 4: county level; Grade 5: local level; Grade 6: matchplay; and Grade 7: internal competition. The determination of grades by the LTA will be final and binding.
If you're just starting out competing, tournament Grades 5 to 7 are best for you! Grade 7 are usually social competitions at your local venue. Grade 6 are one-day events for those new to competing.

Dec 24, 2018 · For our own Club Competitions, we are considering all members must have submitted 6 Acceptable Scores in the previous 12 months. They could be either General Play or Competition Scores as our members do not submit many GP cards. We have at least three comps each week.
May 19, 2021 · Lots of comps (particularly text comps and instant wins) allow you one entry per day. Even by entering a prize draw for a second time you’ve already doubled your chance of winning – so if you can do an entry every day for the duration of a promotion, your chance of winning will be significantly increased.
Feb 27, 2022 · How many competitions do you enter in a year? I don’t track the competitions I enter as I consider it to be a waste of valuable comping time – but I’d estimate I enter around 25 comps each day. That would work out at around 9,000 comps a year.
