Venice, IRNA – Iran’s Mohsen Tanabandeh on Saturday won the Orizzonti (Horizons) award for best actor at the 79th Venice International Film Festival in Italy. Tanabandeh was awarded the prize in the Orizzonti section for performing in the film “World War III” by Houman Seyedi.

Sep 11, 2022 · Houman Seyed received the best film award for his film 'World War III' and Mohsen Tanabandeh won the best actor award for performing in this film at the Horizons section of the 79th Venice International Film Festival which was held from 31 August to 10 September 2022.
He was awarded for his performance in Petition For Allah (2008) at Fajr International Film Festival. He is otherwise best known for his performances in 2015’s Iran Burger, a Fajr Film Festival nominee for Best Actor, and 2017’s Ferrari, for which he won Best Actor at the Fajr Film Festival.
