We did it at Chophouse Studios, which Jason owned, and it was like being in a boot camp. We had so much fun, and had a great time making the album. He helped us a lot.

Formed in Quebec in 1982, Voivod began life as a fairly straightforward Metal outfit. The agressive sound and apocalyptic lyrics on their first two releases earned them some buzz in the newly established Thrash Metal scene, but on 1987's Killing Technology the band started expanding their sound, introducing increasingly complex songs, psychedelic elements and more sci-fi oriented lyrics.
