The Gap Band was an American funk band primarily consisting of brothers Ronnie (b. 1948, d. 2021), Charlie (b. 1953) and Robert Wilson (b. 1956, d. 2010). The group first formed as the Greenwood, Archer and Pine Street Band in 1967 in their hometown of Tulsa, Oklahoma.
