   • Hard to complain when it’s free experience, quick to get into, pretty quiet and amazing views. It’s not the shard but it’s also not £30+. Amazed they can offer it for free when there’s no way for you to spend money there, no cafe, bar or gift shop. Great views, highly recommended. Came across The LookOut by chance and wow! I'm glad I went up!

   How do I get to the lookout?

   • Just a short ferry ride from Centraal Station, we had a beautiful, sunny day for our trip to the lookout. The experience begins with a Techno-enhanced lift ride to the top, complete with a thrilling light show. Once on top, there are two lookout platforms to help take photos above the screen fence.

   Is the lookout a good place to visit?

   • The Lookout is the middle one, in terms of height. Quite difficult to find tickets online, but with some willpower, you can do it. The view from the top is beautiful, especially if you are lucky enough to catch a clear day. Despite the expectations, it wasn't extremely crowded (Sunday, around 13:00).

   Is the a'dam lookout worth it?

   • The A’dam Lookout is a decent experience if you’re after something a bit different and a little off the usual track in Amsterdam. If you’re a photographer or just enjoy a nice view in general, it’s worth the trip up to the top. The view back over the station is fantastic. However, I do feel as if it is quite expensive for what it is.

   What if we had just done the lookout?

   • We had combined the visit with the 'This is Holland' attracted which was great which probably helped make the visit more fun. If we had just done the Lookout, I don't think we would have felt quite so upbeat about it. At the end of the day you are paying for a view from a tower block with everything else available as paid for extras.
