the theory i heard that has the most plausibility is the ash never even left the cabin. I subscribed to it more because it does feel like ash was trapped in a hellmouth which was the cabin. Isn't evil dead 2 and alt universe to evil dead 1. Okay, so Evil Dead 1 is not a direct sequel as such to Evil Dead 2.

And season 1 came out in 2015, but the Evil Dead came out in 1981, and Evil Dead 2 was just a continuation of the story with an added intro because of rights issues.
