You can remove an email account from the Mail app and from all the apps that use it on your iPad. Note: This action doesn’t cancel the email account; it just removes it from your iPad. To close the account completely, visit your email account provider.

Jul 4, 2023 · Recently, approximately mid-June 2023, when I delete email from my Yahoo email on my iPhone, it stay in the "Inbox" on the web based version. I have made no changes to my settings on either my iPhone or my web based email, so I assume it is something in an update.
