Mauritius brought a number of amendments to its AML/CFT framework through the Finance (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 2018, Act 11 of 2018, which was gazetted on 9 August 2018
Mauritius underwent a second round of mutual evaluation of its Anti-Money Laundering and Counter- Terrorist and Proliferation Financing (AML/CFT) framework under the Methodology for assessing technical compliance with the FATF Recommendations and the effectiveness of AML/CFT systems.
The AML/CFT Handbook was further amended in September 2022 to include a new provision on Certification and to align with the legislative changes of FIAMLA and FIAML Regulations 2018. The AML/CFT Handbook can be downloaded here.
