During a runtime of 89 minutes, Lacková travels around Central Europe collecting interviews, finds proof of her grandfather’s and other Roma partisans’ fight against the Nazis, convinces a small town to put names onto a Roma mass grave, and sets up an exhibition that preserves all of her findings in the public eye.
This documentary film reveals how the lives of the descendants of a partisan fighter in the Second World War are still impacted by the events of that period, 75 years after the end of hostilities. In making her case, Lacková provides glimpses into her private surroundings.
