The Void is only accessible via being Gaster, or the door that appears if you have a FUN Value from 95 - 99. The door will appear near Grimbo's bits & bobs (right side when looking at it) in a hole in the wall (this will get updated with new maps). As you approach the door, a text box rises from the bottom of the screen, stating "You don't remember...

The VOID looks no different from the normal map though you will find that your vision is drastically limited. You can only see in a small radius around you, which shrinks and expands, while everything beyond is pitch black. Some attacks may cause light, such as Glitchtale Chara's Bravery 2, but the light is severely reduced compared to in the overw...

    The Eyes

While walking through the VOID, you will sometimes encounter enormous eyes looking up from the ground. They can neither move nor actively kill you, but beware, walking over the pupil of the eye triggers it to roar, turning all lighting red, and spawning Puppy on top of the eye. It is easy to tell when an eye is near, as they emit a soft breathing sound.

    Puppy

If you start to feel lonely during your exploration, fret not for one of the VOID's residents, called Puppy, will follow you wherever you go. Walking too far from Puppy will cause him to teleport ahead of you, to attempt to cut you off. This is signaled by a faint laughing sound. Puppy's movement speed is slower than every character's walk, (excluding Flowey), and is very easy to avoid. Puppy may become enraged upon being attacked, summoned by an eye or when hit by stronger moves, causing him to enter a charge state and your screen turns red. It is possible to outrun Puppy during this period, and he will quickly calm down. Another way of knowing that he is near is when you hear the sound of wind howling.

After staying in the void for thirty minutes you gain access to the secret character Gaster.

(You can actually spend however many sessions you want in the VOID to keep re-obtaining Gaster and your current character is replaced with him every single time, this bypasses the menu's player limit on him.)

While entering the VOID just needs some luck, exiting it alive is impossible without the help of a higher power.

  2. With Emck, he knew where the exit to the Void was, thus Voyager was forced to confront him. Valen on the other hand does not have a goal to compete against Voyager for. Voyager can escape the Void with or without Valen. Likewise, if Valen wanted to, he could try to find a way to escape the Void without Voyager as well.

  3. From the beginning, the scarcity of resources, the subsequent risk of famine, the menacing ships all around, and the ticking clock to escape the void, make it a quite dark episode. It was also great watching Janeway stick to Federation values and principles, whereas Chakotay and Tuvok favored being more aggressive in order to survive.

  5. Sep 23, 2021 · I, as well as many others, have noted the similarities between the Voyager episodes Night (s05e01) and The Void (s7e15). Both episodes have a very similar premise with a very similar ending. Both Night and The Void kick off with Voyager ending the teaser act becoming stuck in a totally empty pocket of space with no stars or planets.
