Oct 11, 2023 · “Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see” (Hebrews 11:1). Why do I bring up this verse? You cannot have hope unless it is tied together with faith. In essence, you have hope because you have faith and you have faith because you have hope.
Jan 4, 2022 · Biblical hope is a sure foundation upon which we base our lives, believing that God always keeps His promises. Hope or confident assurance can be ours when we trust the words, “He who believes on Me has everlasting life” (John 6:47, NKJV).
Jul 13, 2023 · Trustworthy promises from God give us hope (Hebrews 6:18-19), and we may boast in this hope (Hebrews 3:6) and exhibit great boldness in our faith (2 Corinthians 3:12). By contrast, those who do not place their trust in God are said to be without hope (Ephesians 2:12, 1 Thessalonians 4:13).
Mar 18, 2024 · The Bible acknowledges suffering and tribulations, but God provides hope in Christ to endure and transcend these temporal hardships. Hope in Christ is anchored in a relationship with a loving and sovereign God.
Mar 5, 2019 · Nothing can prevent pain from entering our lives, but we must never give up hope. God is for us, not against us (see Romans 8:31). When the seas of life rage, he can tame the winds, calm the waters, and bring us safely back to shore. We must not fear doomsday, but boldly live our daily lives with hope.
Mar 24, 2022 · To hope in the Bible is to firmly place your trust in what God says. It’s not an, “oh, I hope so,” but rather, “I hope because he said so.” The New Testament outlines specifics of God’s promises that we place our hope in: salvation, resurrection, and the redemption of our bodies.
Feb 4, 2013 · Hope stabilizes in the storm: There are sixty-six drawings of anchors in the catacombs, the caves and tunnels that persecuted Christians hid in during the Roman persecutions. Hope was their anchor during those dark and stormy days (Heb. 6:19; 10:34). Like the anchor, hope grabs what is out of sight.
