From what I know, this applies to Terminal 3 passengers connecting from Canada to the US, but the interactive map for Terminal 1 on the Toronto Pearson Airport's website shows that only document verification and US Customs Preclearance will apply (I had the map set to take me from the D Gates to the F Gates).
