Teaming with wild Pokemon, these areas consist of grassy fields, snowy mountain passes, heavily wooded areas and more. Jubilife Village is Pokemon Legends: Arceus’ starting point. This is where you’ll start the campaign, pick a starter Pokemon, and learn the basics of play.
Obsidian Fieldlands is the first main area in Arceus (beyond the starting village). There are several points of interest, including two camps that you can fast travel to. An assortment of Pokemon call Obsidian Fieldlands home – like Bidoof, Starly, Luxio, and Beautifly, to name a few – given this area’s varying habitats.

Crimson Mirelands is the second main area in Arceus. This bog/swampish area is home to pokemon like Croagunk, Goomy, Hippopotas and Kirlia. It also features two camps that you can fast travel to.

The third main area, Cobalt Coastlands sits next to the sea on the East side of the map. This is where most players will first run into water type Pokemon like Octillery.

Coronet Highlands, the fourth main area, is a mountainous region. Its dry and rockery terrain makes it the perfect home for rock type Pokemon like Geodude and Onix.

Alabaster Icelands is the fifth main area in Arceus. Its snow covered environment is home to a variety of Pokemon, especially ice and ground types like Mamoswine.

For quite a bit since the trailer came out, I always had the suspicion that the starting town would be related to an existing town in Sinnnoh, yet after I started digging, it became pretty clear it is Eterna City, and I will present the evidence why I believe that it is.

Pokémon Legends: Arceus (Japanese: Pokémon LEGENDS アルセウス, Hepburn: Pokémon LEGENDS Arceus) is an action role-playing game for the Nintendo Switch. It is a Generation VIII game part of the core series but is largely different in gameplay. The game released worldwide on January 28, 2022.
The battles are started when you throw your Pokémon's PokéBall out in front of the opponent, this will cause the battle to start. If you catch the Pokémon unaware and hit them with the Poké Ball, you can startle them and get a guaranteed first turn move
