Jun 7, 2024 · Don't exit arl Eamon's estate. Instead proceed to Eamon's office (M71, 2) where you'll have a chance to talk to arl himself and to one of the servants of queen Anora. You'll find out that the queen has been kidnapped and that is being held in Howe's mansion. Your job will be to rescue her.
She'll tell you that the queen has been imprisoned by Arl Howe, and that she's worried that he might kill her and pin the deed on Arl Eamon. This will trigger the quest "Rescue the Queen," which is covered in the location entry for the Arl of Denerim's Estate.
Eamon is a typical big good who helps the players restore order to Loghain's tyranny and chaos. He supports the traditional Calenhand line of kings by his backing of Alistair and is cautious of working with Anora due to her shrewd political know how.
You can either surrender, put up a fight, or tell her that you are trying to rescue the queen. If you reveal the queen's presence, she will accuse the party of kidnapping her, which triggers a fight with Cauthrien and her men just the same as challenging her immediately.
