Rescue the Queen is the mainline quest to free Anora, King Cailan's wife, from Arl Howe at the Arl of Denerim's Estate. After completing Arl of Redcliffe and gathering the other allies, the Warden travels to Denerim with Arl Eamon Guerrin.
Jun 7, 2024 · Don't exit arl Eamon's estate. Instead proceed to Eamon's office (M71, 2) where you'll have a chance to talk to arl himself and to one of the servants of queen Anora. You'll find out that the queen has been kidnapped and that is being held in Howe's mansion. Your job will be to rescue her.
She'll tell you that the queen has been imprisoned by Arl Howe, and that she's worried that he might kill her and pin the deed on Arl Eamon. This will trigger the quest "Rescue the Queen," which is covered in the location entry for the Arl of Denerim's Estate.
Arl Eamon considers it imperative that she be rescued, both because Anora may become a powerful ally, and because Loghain will win if he can pin Anora's death on Arl Eamon. Once Queen Anora is rescued, she will intially be here alongside Arl Eamon.
Feb 22, 2011 · At Arl Eamon's Estate or at the Arl of Denerim's Estate itself? In my experience you could still go anywhere after either one; the only restriction is after leaving the Arl of Denerim's Estate AFTER rescuing the Queen you couldn't go back.
Captured! is a quest which begins if the Warden has either surrendered to, or been beaten by, Ser Cauthrien in the Arl of Denerim's Estate at the end of the quest Rescue the Queen. The Warden (and Alistair, if he was in the party at the time of the capture) are taken to a cell in Fort Drakon.
