The Blood-Starved Beast can be a troublesome boss depending on your skill and player level, so don't be afraid to grind a bit in the area for blood echoes to upgrade. By the time I beat him, I had a level 3 Saw Cleaver and Hunter Pistol (Although I never actually used it in the fight), and I was around level 19 or so.
Being mid distance allows you to circle around him more easily so you can be on its side/back. Put antidotes in your quick-item bar. Like with all other fights, never completely deplete your stamina bar. Always retain a bit for an emergency dodge. During the last phase, stay away from him if you see poison building up.
Lol okay, but I literally started a new playthrough last week and beat it on my first try, with 10 blood vials to spare. You didnt do "everything perfectly" otherwise you wouldn't have made this thread. But yes it sucks having to farm for vials. Like I said, you arent stuck here, you can explore several massive areas, get stronger and come back.
Jun 26, 2024 · The Blood-starved Beast resides in the abandoned Church of the Good Chalice in Old Yharnam. During Phase 1 it moves very slowly and isn't very aggressive. It will spend most of its time strafing sideways or walking toward you and will occasionally perform basic claw swipes or a lunging slash.
