A simple method to farm Chlorophyte is to build a single square "farm" of mud with one Chlorophyte Ore block in the middle. One may also instead create a single long horizontal or vertical one block strip with a single Chlorophyte Ore block in it, as an alternative method.
Use background walls to completely cover inside the farm to prevent enemy spawns and allow for torches to be placed without blocking plant growth. It is worth considering making this farm far away from the actual Jungle.
An essential part of enemy farming is knowing the basics of NPC spawning. Hostile and friendly NPCs can only spawn in a 168x94 tiles area around the player, and there is a limit to how many enemies can exist in an area at the same time. Spawn rates are different depending on the Biome, depth, Weather and the time of day.

You will need to surround yourself with the block of your choosing and spawn the minion outside of your shield. You can leave the game running for a while and check back every once in a while to pick up the dropped items and gold.
