Jul 14, 2024 · With the upcoming changes in 1.4.5 (like hoppers and such) I wanna put out this guide to help players make actually efficient AFK farms. I will be starting with a basic cavern AFK farm and will show other AFK farms at the bottom of the post. Gathering the Materials:
Allows to farm most biome specific mobs and any biome key in one place, namely from: cavern, jungle, mushroom, hallow, ice, desert, crimson, corruption, and 2 hybrid biomes, crimson ice (for pigrons) and corrupted desert (for desert spirits).

The main idea is simple: you stand on the platform, activate the switch and the biome gets active, mobs start to spawn rapidly. With this setup you can farm every biome key without leaving the farm. This farm could be most certainly improved further, but I lost interest after finishing the run.
