Upgrading from previous FortiClient versions. You must upgrade EMS to 7.2 or newer before upgrading FortiClient. FortiClient 7.2.5 supports upgrade from FortiClient 6.2, 6.4, and 7.0. FortiClient (macOS)7.2.5 features are only enabled when connected to EMS 7.2.
During a FortiClient upgrade to 5.6.4, FortiClient installs the same features that were previously installed. If you want to install different features, you must uninstall the previous version of FortiClient, and install FortiClient5.6.4 with the desired features.

Nov 25, 2014 · Usually FortiGate will update FortiClient installers to the latest version available. At the moment users can go to our Fortinet page and download the Forticlient from our Fortigate firewall. Thing is, it's an older version on there.
