  1. Turn your Windows 10 PC into a mobile hotspot by sharing your Internet connection with other devices over Wi-Fi. You can share a Wi-Fi, Ethernet, or cellular data connection. If your PC has a cellular data connection and you share it, it will use data from your data plan. Select Start , then select Settings > Network & Internet > Mobile hotspot.

    • Open the Local Group Policy Editor.
    • In the left pane of the Local Group Policy Editor, click/tap on to expand Computer Configuration, Administrative Templates, Network, and Network Connections.
    • In the right pane of Network Connections, double click/tap on the Prohibit use of Internet Connection Sharing on your DNS domain network policy to edit it.
    • Do step 5 (enable) or step 6 (disable) below for what you would like to do.
    • Open Settings, and click/tap on the Network & Internet icon.
    • Click/tap on Mobile hotspot on the left side, and select what (ex: Cellular, Ethernet, or Wi-Fi) you want to Share my Internet connect from on your PC for devices.
    • Click/tap on Edit if you would like to change the network name and network password for people to use to log in their devices to the mobile hotspot with.
    • You can now give the network name and password to people that you want to share your Internet connection with when you have mobile hotspot turned on for your PC.
