- Find the Admin Password. Check the sticker on your router. Most routers list the default username and password for the router on a sticker somewhere on the router itself.
- Find Wi-Fi Password for Current Connection (Windows) Look for the sticker on your router. If you haven't changed from the default password, you'll find the Wi-Fi password on the physical router near the network's name.
- Find Saved Wi-Fi Passwords (Windows) Open the Command Prompt. Type cmd into the search field in your Start Menu, then click Command Prompt in the search results to run it.

- On Windows: Click the Wi-Fi icon ('Wifi' icon). You'll find it in the far-right side of the taskbar. Doing so will prompt the Wi-Fi menu to appear. This method only works if you're currently connected to a Wi-Fi network for which you've forgotten the password.
- On Mac: Open the Finder. It's a blue, face-shaped icon in the Dock. On Mac, you do not have to be connected to your Wi-Fi network to find the Wi-Fi password.
- Using Router Page: Connect a computer to the router via Ethernet. If you don't know your Wi-Fi password and the computer in question isn't connected to the Internet, Ethernet is the only way you'll be able to connect.
- Resetting the Router: Find your router's "Reset" button. This button is usually on the back of the router. You'll probably need a paperclip or needle to press the "Reset" button.
You can recover your WiFi password from Windows Settings, Command Prompt, or from your router settings. If all else fails, you can contact your Internet Service Provider (ISP) for assistance or reset your router to the default password.
