- Welcome to good ol’ San Francisco! Today is all about hitting a few tourist attractions by the Embarcadero and the piers as well as exploring some of San Francisco’s most loved neighborhoods.
- B. PATISSERIE. Start your morning off Bay Area style, with a mouthful of pastries! In my opinion, not many other metropolitan cities do pastries as well as San Francisco does.
- At this point, you’ve seen a lot of San Francisco’s major urban highlights and local neighborhoods! Day 3 will feature a lot more views of nature and museums mixed in.
- ALCATRAZ. Located just 1.5 miles off the shore of San Francisco is Alcatraz Island, a tiny island that was developed as a military fortification, a military prison, and a federal prison.
- Visit the Golden Gate Bridge. Arguably San Franciscos top tourist sight, It would essentially be criminal if you visited San Francisco without stopping by to see the Golden Gate Bridge!
- Ride a Cable Car. San Francisco is home to one of the world’s last manually operated cable car systems. Though it used to be the most used mode of transportation when it was first created in 1873, you can still easily hop on one of its three remaining lines for a ride through the city whilst you explore San Francisco.
- Be a tourist at Fisherman’s Wharf. Sure, it might be a little crowded but Fisherman’s Wharf in San Francisco is a must-do for anyone visiting the city (even locals love it, though they’d never admit to it).
- Take a trip to Haight Ashbury. The Haight-Ashbury district in San Francisco is famously known as the birthplace of the hippie counterculture movement of the 1960s and the “Summer of Love”.
- Exploring San Francisco’s Waterfront. Lace up your best pair of walking shoes for the first day of your San Francisco itinerary. Start by heading to the famous Ferry Building, only a short walk from downtown San Francisco.
- Exploring SF’s Parks, Architecture, & Natural Beauty. Day two of our San Francisco itinerary begins in the quaint, youthful neighborhood of NoPa, short for North of the Panhandle.
