Jun 25, 2017 · You can keep more types of slimes on your ranch. You have to do more work to keep your slimes, and some ranchers like this challenge. You can keep phosphor slimes outside of the grotto if for some reason you can't use the grotto. You have an easier time navigating around harmful slimes. It is easier to tell if your slimes are overcrowded.
On the main ranch the two plots that are outside the entrance to the Overgrowth is were I would start out my first garden or coop. Then whenever I got access to the Moss Blanket, I'd scrap one plot and build a pond for some Puddle slimes to have on my main ranch land. But seriously, do whatever layout you wanna on your ranch that fits your needs.
I keep 9 largo corrals, 4 purebred corrals, 3 types of free-range slimes, 4 farm plots, 6 storage towers, 2 chicken coups, an incinerator, some water slimes, and an overpriced statue on my ranch. The overgrowth is dedicated to farming. I rotate between fruits and vegetables, and keep tangle slimes free-range.
I’ve got a pretty nice flow on my ranch and can keep most of my slimes happy and well fed while off adventuring. That is except for my damn fire slimes. My drones have proven they’re not up to the task of keeping the fire slimes fed and no matter how hard I try I can’t keep the ash trough filled enough to prevent despawning when I’m gone for more than a night.
Feb 17, 2016 · You have to keep your slimes separated based on what you want, or else you risk having your ranch overrun by Tarr. And you can do this by using the most basic of plots on your ranch: the Corral, which costs 250 Newbucks. You can add a Corral (or another type of plot) by interacting with one of the many plot stands around your ranch.
Then with the help of some more late game slime science tech (bee drones) as soon as my gardens were full the food would automatically be transported to the autofeeders in my corrals. This method seemed to work pretty efficiently at keeping slimes well fed and producing enough plorts to split between selling on the market and putting into slime science tech, hope that this helps.
