Royal Lochnagar distillery is situated on the South side of the River Dee, one mile from Balmoral Castle. The closest villages would be Ballater which is 8.7 miles and Braemar which is 9.9 miles. The 201 bus service stops at the Balmoral car park and the distillery is one mile from there.
Royal Lochnagar Scotch Whisky Distillery. Springs in the foothills of Lochnagar. Situated close to Balmoral on Deeside, at one time host to several distilleries, but now just this one. Tours are available throughout the day with one always leaving on the hour, the last tour leaves at 4pm.
