I tried to locate my phone, and noticed Blackberry Protect is not working. Then I went to the settings on my phone, and it had shut itself off. When I forced it on, it gave me an error screen saying it wasn't available.
Take out the battery and let the phone sit for 30 seconds to a minute then put the battery back in. The need for this was to fully discharge the device. I was trying a YouTube suggestion to autoload a 10.3.1.997. This should get rid of Protect. Maybe a year or so ago it would work.

May 28, 2018 · It's a BlackBerry problem and they need to address it. Something changed in Bing Maps or their API key expired. Until they adjust it properly, it will continue to give that error.
