You (rather, the server OP) can search for the horse's name in an NBT editor. That will find its entity record, which contains its coordinates. If the search turns up nothing, it's dead.

We also play on an aternos server on Java 1.20 and I'm on a PC if that's relevant. I saw some posts saying to use "/tp @e[type=minecraft:horse,name=NameOfAnimal]" but it didn't seem to work. Granted, I also saw that you might need to have the chunk loaded.
Feb 7, 2023 · How do I play on the Chunky Monkey SMP Minecraft server? Open the Minecraft launcher, next click the "Play" button, then select "Multiplayer" from the main menu. Click the "Add Server" button to open the server information form then copy & paste the IP Address chunkymonkey.fun:25565 in the "Server Address" box then press click on "Done" button.
