  2. Governing Board Governor Bio’s Maria Taylor – Chair of Governors. Maria was appointed to the Brookfield Governing Board by the Local Authority in 2017. She is a School Business Leader at a local Maintained Primary School responsible for the schools business management and support services.

  3. Meeting Attendance. Our Governing Body meet twice termly and in addition, all play an active part in the our development by visiting regularly for events, to offer support and provide challenge. Attendance for previous meetings is as follows;

    Formerly known as headteacher boards, they are responsible for advising and challenging regional directors on academy-related decisions.

    The boards are made up of up to 8 members:

    •4 elected by local academy headteachers

    •2 appointed by regional directors

    •2 are co-opted with the agreement of DfE ministers

    All advisory board members have equal status. Members of advisory boards tend to be education sector professionals.
