Jun 14, 2020 · To my surprise, I can confirm that the updates are still working. Yesterday I wiped and reconfigured my PlayBook and it surprised me with a "software update" that was, basically, 2.1.0.1917. Same thing that was on board... but it downloaded it again!

Apr 5, 2010 · Most users know that you can easily update your device software by downloading the OS to a PC and using the Application Loader. With some official OS updates, the option to use the Wireless Update will be under Options > Advanced Options > Wireless Update.
You will either see a Regional Settings or Software Update screen. (Most likely it will be Software Update, so that is what I will follow, but if you see Regional Settings let us know and we'll help out.)
