Dec 30, 2022 · The anime finally began airing in 2022, exactly 10 years after Bleach went off the air. Studio Pierrot only began working on Thousand-Year Blood War in 2017. The studio waited for the manga to end, then brought Kubo on board. Production was also affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.
