The 1 Second Film is a non-profit collaborative art project that Nirvan started in 2000 while studying Experimental Animation at CalArts. The project evolved into a global collaboration, and was one of the first crowd funded films.
It was a campaign to make an animated film that would have been 1 second long (24 frames), an hour of credits, with a feature length documentary about the making of the film playing alongside the credits.
The IMDb listing helped the project to grow online.
