Most areas of the museum and the sports experience are barrier free. There are only a handful of less accessible areas due to the historic nature or natural habitat of certain artifacts (like the tool car in All Aboard!). We do our best to give full access to our outstanding experiences.
All of the Access Pass attractions strive to be inclusive and welcoming to all guests. Each attraction offers resources and accommodations to ensure all guests enjoy their visit. Here’s a list of what is available at each attraction.

The Children’s Museum of Indianapolis is the largest children’s museum in the world, with more than 120,000 artifacts spread across 11 major galleries. Head into space, explore contemporary China or take a ride on a magical carousel ride.
Ramps, elevators, and accessible curb ramps are all a part of the design of most Indianapolis venues but guests at The Children’s Museum may not even notice the universal design concepts in play while all guests are playing together regardless of age or ability.
Mar 30, 2022 · There are quiet areas (infoZone library) and loud spaces (All Aboard with a loud bell on the train and strobe light during the show). Tactile opportunities can be enjoyed with plastic replicas of the Chihuly glass pieces to create a tower in Fireworks of Glass or wooden blocks in Playscape.
