Only the Headteacher can authorise leave of absence during school term-time and it is only in very exceptional circumstances that leave of absence will be granted. We will not permit any holiday request during term-time.

We offer bespoke and guidance and support from the start of Year 12 for students wanting to follow the UCAS application process. Each student can talk to their tutor and a member of the sixth form team in September of Year 12 regarding career and higher education intentions.
Horsforth School. – Term Dates. Opened in 1972 and located in Horsforth, it educates around 1,500 boys and girls, aged 11 to 18. It gained Special Science status in 2002. In 2012 75% of students received 5 A*-C GCSEs including English and Maths. Horsforth School also includes a post 16 centre.
Our academic calendar is organised into semesters, each consisting of 12 weeks of teaching activities. Although each course differs slightly in the way it is organised, the majority of our courses use the timings of these semesters to schedule the delivery of your modules.
