Oct 4, 2017 · Our oldest son rides the Horsethief Bench Drop-In near Loma, Colorado. Thankfully, this iconic section of trail has remained raw and untamed.
If you hike to the falls, then back to the intersection and on to Pancake Rocks and back down it is about 7.5 miles with about 2000 feet of elevation gain. We completed the hike with a one year old in a carrier, a 4 year old, and a few 10 year olds, but I would not recommend it for the younger kids unless they are experienced hikers.
