Hereditary is a 2018 American psychological horror [4] film written and directed by Ari Aster in his feature directorial debut. Synopsis. The story begins with the viewer looking out from a window in a workshop to a tree house, then turning and zooming in to a bedroom in a dollhouse that is in the workshop.
