Now while I did like hereditary's first half I was very confused by this one scene. When they are in the car and the little kid loses his head we see a lamppost. On the lamppost we can see the symbol of the cult. How on earth did this cult plan that they would firstly crash, and secondly that it would be that exact lamppost.
