A live-action adventure comedy based on the global blockbuster videogame franchise from Sega that centers on the infamously brash bright blue hedgehog. The film follows the (mis)adventures of Sonic as he navigates the complexities of life on Earth with his newfound – human – best friend Tom Wachowski (James Marsden).
After settling in Green Hills, Sonic is eager to prove he has what it takes to be a true hero. His test comes when Dr. Robotnik returns, this time with a new partner, Knuckles, in search for an emerald that has the power to destroy civilizations.

The movie will largely take place in our current reality, as we confirmed last month after viewing some of the footage ourselves.
Sonic will be voiced by Ben Schwartz, with Jim Carrey as Robotnik, and James Marsden as Tom Wachowski. The movie's premiere dates are spread out, with it hitting the U.S. on November 8, Australia on November 28, and will not release in the UK until December 26.
Seeing Sonic with teeth in the trailer was shocking to many, and IGN talked about how it terrified us, and we even decided to see what teeth would look like on other well known video game characters.
