Harald Sicheritz (*1958 in Stockholm, Sweden) is an Austrian writer, director and dramatic adviser. He studied communications and political science while working as a rock musician. 1993 saw his debut as a feature film director with "Muttertag". His films "Hinterholz 8" und "Poppitz" rank as #1 and #2 in the Austrian all time box office charts.
Mother’s Day – Harald Sicheritz’s debut feature, which, alongside an often excessively fragmented plot, features an overall good characterisation of upper-class Austrian society – has become, over the years, a true cult within contemporary Austrian cinema.
