Hans Matheson (born 7 August 1975) is a Scottish actor and musician. In a wide-ranging film and television career he has taken lead roles in diverse films such as Doctor Zhivago, Sherlock Holmes, The Tudors, Tess of the d'Urbervilles, Clash of the Titans and 300: Rise of an Empire.
Hans Matheson was not very fond of school due because he was shy and introvert as a kid. Later, at the suggestion of his mother, he auditioned for the drama school Italia Conti Academy of Theatre Arts Ltd, where he fell in love with the craft of acting. His brother, also an actor, passed away in August 2013.
Actor: Sherlock Holmes. Hans Matheson was born in a caravan on August 7, 1975 at Stornoway, Isle of Lewis, located in the Outer Hebrides of Scotland. Shortly after, his family moved to Canterbury, Kent in England but Hans often spent his summer holidays on Stornoway with his grandparents.

I started to grow in confidence; I was learning about something that I realised I genuinely cared about - it was an exciting time. Drama school gave me the tools to be able to understand and do my job - the equivalent of learning chord structure and harmony in music theory.
The Curriculum. After enrolling in one of the four streams (viz. Accountancy and Corporate Governance, Global Business Management, Global Finance, and Marketing), students are required to study nine modules and must complete a dissertation project over a year of full-time study.
