My husband scheduled the install but I am the skeptical one and started researching. There are lots of positive reviews saying it fixed everyone’s allergies and asthma sprinkled with a few negative reviews saying it emits an ozone odor and gave them headaches and sore throats.
Contractor recommended the Halo (non-LED), thinks that one works better. On paper seems like the LED would be a better option... works same as the Halo but has LED light that last longer, longer warranty, no ozone, and only comes on with blower. Some complaints I saw about the Halo LED:
Neither. Call a local water treatment company and just get a backwashable carbon filter system. Save thousands. If you need sediment filtration then add a big blue 20-50 micron filter ahead of it. All the other stuff in those systems are marketing bullshit.
