The Galway SPCA is a charity based in Galway with a cattery in Briarhill and a dog sanctuary in Killimor, Co Galway. Our aim is to help, rescue, rehabilitate and re-home all animals to forever homes.

Our main base is our sanctuary, between Killimor and Portumna, where we care for dogs. Our cattery is located in Briarhill Business Park. This capacity is supplemented by dedicated foster homes. We have three charity shops, one in Briarhill, another on Main Street, Ballinasloe and one on Barrack Street, Athenry.
Jan 7, 2018 · Volunteers with three of the 83 animals in the SPCA’s care. The GSPCA is composed of both the Kilimor sanctuary and the city cattery. Between these and the homes of so many dedicated foster families, there are currently 83 animals under the care of the GSPCA.

The Galway Society for Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (GSPCA) have been an active force in animal welfare since 1999 taking care of sick, injured and cruelly treated animals in Galway. Our main base is our sanctuary, between Killimor and Portumna, where we care for dogs in our Dog Sanctuary.
