The school won its first-ever Ohio High School Athletic Association (OHSAA) Football Playoffs on its Harley Field in 2022. Additionally, Dr. Womack noted that Dr. Watson added the Career-Technical Education course, Patient-Centered Care, to the school’s curriculum, allowing the school to become a CTE completer by offering three pathway courses in Health Sciences.

Briggs High School is a four-year high school (grades 9–12) located on the southwest side of Columbus, Ohio. It is a part of Columbus City Schools. The building was built in 1974. Briggs' mascot and sports teams are known as the Bruins, and the school colors are purple and gold.
