Action Songs are a great way to get everyone to wake up! They help get even the most hesitant youth engaged, and usually bring out a lot of laughs.

Most of these gathering songs can be sung as different groups or troops arrive at the meeting place. It’s fun because it starts out with a few people singing and grows into a big chorus as everyone arrives. Several of them also put a little bit of razzing on the latest groups to arrive, so everyone will try their best to be on time.

Whether the nature of your group is Patriotic or Religious or not, solemn songs can really set the mood for a special Scoutmaster Minuteor presentation. These songs slow everything down and help the youth to really think and ponder the words and messages shared.

Admittedly, this is a lot to get through. There are hundreds of other songs out there, but these are the ones that made our list. They range from short (and somewhat annoying) to full-on ballads that take a lot of time to learn and rehearse. I hope you’ve enjoyed our list of 300+ Scouting and Youth Group Songs!
