Over 100 German films are available for free on our eMedia platform, the eLibrary. The online movie collection of the Goethe-Institut is all about German films. You can watch them from the comfort of your own sofa. Our film selection offers current productions – from feature films and documentaries all the way to children’s films and comedies.

First, watch a series of Goethe A1 videos by YourGermanTeacher on Youtube. There is one for each section. I then watched them all again the night before the test.

Try Nicos Weg on YouTube with DW. It’s not the best film in the world by far, but it starts easy (A1) and gets harder as you watch (B1). It’s entertaining enough that I finished the series, probably about as entertaining as you can get for beginners.
