Plot. After getting struck by lightning from an unusual angelic cloud, Clark suddenly has the ability to glow. His coworkers, including his friend Amily, believe that this may somehow be related to God. Their fears are confirmed when an angel tells Clark that he is to be God's messenger and must prevent the Apocalypse from happening.

Throughout the show’s first season, Clark tries to figure out God’s message and how he’s supposed to spread it to the world. God eventually tells Clark that her message is this: everyone was right. All religions are valid as long as you are not using God’s name to hurt people, God is happy with all types of faith.
Satan says she killed Chamuel, but Frisbee claims he never saw Chamuel’s body. It sounds like there is a good chance that Chamuel is still alive.

I’m guessing we’ll see the resolution of this war in the next batch of episodes. The final scene of God’s Favorite Idiotepisode 8 shows Clark and Amily driving away from the hospital to escape, per God’s command. Clark wonders if maybe everything will be okay, but then we see a plague of locusts is following behind them. God’s Favorite Idiotis streaming now on Netflix.
